Caety Gaeta

Lead Technician


Caety joined the practice in April 2012 as a veterinary technician with four years of prior experience. Caety became a member of our team because she wanted to expand her knowledge in the veterinary field. She says, "Princeton Animal Hospital has been known for their innovative care and ability to be more than just a general practice hospital. I wanted to be a part of that!"

While working, Caety can be found inspiring our team of assistants, helping with hiring and training as well as scheduling of the tech staff. Caety is also found in the operating room as a surgical technician, monitoring/treating and caring for hospital patients, seeing appointments, filling prescriptions, and assisting the doctors. Caety says, "I am truly blessed to be a part of this team. We have an amazing group of people who work well together to make the hospital run smoothly and efficiently."

When Caety is not working with animals, she enjoys spending her time line dancing, horseback riding, snowboarding, dirt biking and hanging out with friends, family and her pets. She shares her home with Madison, a 6-year-old Boxer, and Scampers, a 5-year-old domestic short hair cat. Caety recently rescued another fluffy feline she named Avion.

Emily Cocorles

Lead Technician


Emily grew up in Allentown, New Jersey. She joined Princeton Animal Hospital in 2014 as a technician assistant. Emily has worked with animals for the past five years and came to Princeton Animal Hospital hoping to learn more about how to help animals and make a difference in patients' lives as well as their owners. During the day Emily can be found seeing appointments, filling medication, preforming treatments on patients and assisting doctors and technicians.

Emily has two dogs. Brandy is a two year old cuddly Australian Shepard mix and BoDuke is a 3-year-old handsome Lab/Border Collie mix. Emily enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, family and friends. She also enjoys walking her dogs and going to country concerts.

Mary Beth Cullen

Lead Technician


Mary Beth Cullen joined Princeton Animal Hospital in August 2015. She graduated in 2010 from Northeastern University in Boston where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Geology. Since graduating her love of science and animals has led her closer to a career as a veterinary technician. Mary Beth loves working at Princeton Animal Hospital because of the high standards of patient care and the deep regard that everyone who works there has for the family-pet bond. She is currently working towards becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster.

Growing up Mary Beth has had a variety of pets including ferrets, newts, hermit crabs, fish, cats and horses. Currently she has a Yorkshire Terrier named Daisy, a Bichon Frise named Teddy, and a guinea pig named Penelope.

Veterinary Technician Jessica, known as Jess around the hospital, joined the staff of Princeton Animal Hospital in February 2012 and has been working professionally with animals for the past thirteen years. In the hospital, Jess can be found in the operating room as a surgical technician, monitoring/treating hospital patients, seeing appointments, filling prescriptions, and assisting the doctors. Jessica has a great sense of humor and naturally upholds our philosophy and mission to provide excellent care for our patients.

"PAH has a great atmosphere. There is always an opportunity to learn more and further my knowledge of animals," Jessica said. "All of my co-workers are great people and we have become good friends."

Jess has a senior dog, Poncho, an Australian cattle dog, Scully, a cat named Kona, a Leopard Gecko named Dobby and a Crested Gecko named Kreacher. She spends her time going to shows and concerts, reading, hiking, kickboxing, volunteering for animal rescues, spending time with loved ones and traveling. Jessica is also a pit bull and bully breed advocate.

Lizette began her career with Princeton Animal Hospital in July 2009 as a receptionist and is now part of our veterinary technician staff. Lizette is also one of our surgery techs and plays an integral role at the hospital working as a hospital coordinator where she tends to the needs of the hospital during each shift she works. Lizette loves animals and says that "working with them is truly a dream job."

When she is not at the practice, Lizette can be found at the dog park with her American Bulldog, Bruno. She also enjoys reading, watching movies, and hiking on beautiful days.

Barbara Hulick

A veterinary technician at Princeton Animal Hospital since 1988, Barbara attended Mercer County Community College where she studied biology. Known as Barb among the staff, she is the lead veterinary technician in the Carnegie Cat Clinic as well as the inventory manager. Barb is highly noted for her outstanding feline handling skills, precise attention to detail, and excellent time management. She is certainly one of the top 'go to' people for anything cat related. During her free time, Barb enjoys hiking, backpacking, fishing and going to the beach.


Kerri Smith


Kerri started her career with Carnegie Cat Clinic in January 2005 as a Veterinary Technician. Kerri is a compassionate technician, an avid cat lover and an incredible asset to our practice. She brings a wealth of experience caring for our feline friends and pet parents. Her kind and gentle nature enables her to befriend just about every cat in our clinic, including some of our rather nervous patients and boarders. During their stay, boarding and hospitalized cats will enjoy lots of love, kisses and pets from Kerri.  Kerri is an incredible photographer and she's quite modest about it.  If you have been to our cat clinic, you will have surely seen the beautiful photography Kerri has created of our very own patients; some may even be your cats! You can see her work displayed around the Carnegie Cat Clinic lobby. Make sure to take a look next time you are here!

Lynsay joined the Princeton Animal Hospital team in July 2014, bringing with her a great love of animals and a deep respect for the human-animal bond. Her responsibilities include taking patient histories, assisting during exams, general patient care, taking radiographs, drawing blood, scheduling appointments, filling prescriptions, discussing pet care with our clients and helping keep the hospital clean. Lynsay has an associate's degree in math and science from Brookdale Community College and is pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and Environmental Science from Rutgers University.
"Everyone that works here is passionate about animals and it shows," she says. "If there are difficult cases, the doctors and technicians will come together and as a team, we give the best care and plan a course of action that satisfies getting the pet better as soon as possible."

Outside of work, Lynsay enjoys reading, running, hiking, yoga, baking, concerts and shows. She has a very old parakeet named Francine.

Kelly is one of our veterinary technicians here at Princeton Animal Hospital and has been with us since 2005. She started working here as an overnight technician monitoring hospitalized patients. Most recently she decided to decrease her hours to be able to spend more time with her son.

Kelly and her family have four pets. Bosco is a three-legged Pitbull she rescued when he was only two days old. Bosco is such a snuggle bug and LOVES to be around people! They also have two cats, a brother and sister named Tigs and Maggie that Kelly adopted. They are two adorable little terrors that the family loves and they make a GREAT addition to the family. Last but not least a fish named Bubbles.

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys any type of outdoor activity with her son and her boyfriend. They enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking, camping and watching Kelly's son play baseball.

Lisa started working at Princeton Animal Hospital in late April 2015 as a veterinary assistant. "It's a great feeling working with a wonderful and compassionate staff," Lisa says. In 2013, she enrolled with Mercer Country Community College for the Veterinarian Assistant Program and completed her externship here at Princeton Animal Hospital and Carnegie Cat Clinic. Lisa was the first student to take the board test and has been awarded the designation of Approved Veterinary Assistant (AVA).

"I stopped talking about a career working with animals and finally did something about it," Lisa says.

Lisa is also a volunteer for Pet Rescue of Mercer and Marty's Place. She has one dog, Dottie, who is a mix of Staffordshire, Boxer and Corgi, and a Chinchilla named Señor. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, word games, road trips and eating ice cream.

Rui joined our team in April 2015. He says, "It warms my heart to work with great and talented coworkers who truly care about their patients. We all make one amazing team!" During his time here, Rui has learned a great deal and works closely with Dr. Miele on canine rehabilitation. "One of my favorite things to do at the hospital is assist Dr. Miele with his acupuncture, cold laser therapy and canine rehabilitation services. I fell in love with making a difference in an animal's life and I hope to continue doing so for a long time."

Rui grew up in Kearny, NJ where he then moved to South River, NJ. He graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Rui hopes to one day go back to school and further his studies in the field. In his spare time Rui likes to play the guitar, sing, go to the gym, and hang out with a few friends.

sarahSarah Chell

Sarah joined our team in July 2016. “I was in the Vet Assistant program at Mercer County Community College and did my externship at PAH, and was lucky enough to be offered a job. I was excited to be able to start working with this amazing team and to be able to learn and grow at our outstanding practice.” As one of our Tech Assistants, Sarah can be found
taking care of hospitalized patients, filling medications, running lab work, and more recently facilitating appointments. Sarah also took on the Tech Assistant Team Lead position! Sarah grew up in Yardville, NJ, has an Australian Shepherd named Harper that was a rescue dog from Texas, and three cats named Nimbus, Pixel, and Davey Jones. Sarah says “I love being able to work at PAH with such an amazing team. Everybody is so quick to help each other out and we're all great friends.”

Marlo Segeren

Marlo joined the PAH team as a Vet Assistant back in December of 2017, with goals of moving up to a Tech position. Marlo is especially interested in learning Physical therapy techniques, as well as emergency procedures. She was introduced to PAH when externing through the Veterinary Assisting program at Mercer County Community College. Marlo is grateful to work with such a skilled team of hardworking, passionate individuals, who enjoy helping each other learn and grow. At home she has a large family of fur babies with 3 cats - Phill, Ceasar, and Jack, and one dog named Bergen. She also has a baby girl named Isabelle, who is already fascinated by and playing with her kitties!

Rae Coleman 


Rae joined our practice in September 2017, with three prior years of technician experience. Rae has since been promoted to Hospital Coordinator in 2020. Born and raised in California, Rae moved to New Jersey less than a month prior to joining the team. The transition to New Jersey life was new and exciting and she knew that the Princeton Animal Hospital family would make her feel right at home! Rae graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary biology, and she is currently working towards her CVT degree. She is particularly interested in surgery, internal medicine, and clinical pathology.

When she is not working, Rae trains Muay Thai, and absolutely loves it! She also loves to run, hike, and go to the beach with her husband and their terrier, Alfredo.

Katie Medaglia 


Before coming to Princeton Animal Hospital, Katie decided it was time for a career change and enrolled in the Veterinary Assistant program at Mercer County Community College. After completing the program and her externship at our hospital, Katie earned her AVA (American Veterinary Assistant) certification and joined our team as a Veterinary Assistant in August 2017. She says, "I feel really lucky that PAH offered me the position after completing the vet assistant program. Everyone here is so knowledgeable and compassionate and they have taught me so much."

Katie particularly enjoys client education and the strong bond we form with our clients and patients every day. When she isn't working, Katie can be found cross-stitching and spending time with her boyfriend, Paul and their two Pitbull mixes, Kingston and Tiffany.

Emily Dwelle


Emily D. joined our practice in November of 2017. She was seeking a practice that would challenge her skills and increase her knowledge. “I also chose PAH because of the exceptional care we provide our patients and the bond among the PAH family.”

Emily grew up in Central New Jersey and graduated from SUNY Oswego with a BS in Zoology. Not only does Emily love the veterinary field she also has a passion for conservation. Just prior to starting her career at PAH, Emily volunteered in Kianjavato, Madagascar for three months on an ongoing research project, specifically studying endangered lemurs and rebuilding the rain forest.

In her spare time, Emily loves traveling, hiking, trips to the beach and going to concerts. She is a proud Aunt to a chatty cat named Stella Luna and a Pitbull named Ollie.

Natalie Persico


Natalie is one of our Technicians who joined the team in December 2018. She joined our team because she wanted to keep learning and increase her level of skills. “I knew I would get the training I needed at Princeton Animal Hospital. I feel great coming to work every day and look forward to spending time with my awesome, caring coworkers."  In her free time Natalie likes to ride horses at the horse farm she visits and loves to travel.  She cares for and lives with an amazing cattle dog mix named Tundra, who loves to go everywhere with Natalie and is absolutely beautiful.

Jessica Abdmessih


Jessica joined our team in January of 2019 as a Technician Assistant. Jessica decided to join our amazing team due to the amount of knowledge and experience we have to offer. Jessica is currently a student at Rutgers majoring in Animal Science on the Pre-Vet track. Jessica says, “Working at this practice is truly one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I am so lucky be a part of a team where every single person is so willing to help and share their knowledge. Despite the fact that I have no prior experience working in the veterinary medicine field, the staff members never make me feel like I am incapable of a task. They are never hesitant to give me the help I need to succeed in contributing to the team.” In her spare time Jessica likes doing yoga, reading, running and spending time with family and friends.

Ashley Lawitz


Growing up in Hamilton, Ashley joined our team in June of 2019 as a veterinary technician. Ashley decided to join our team because of the vast opportunities for growth and development as a technician. Ashley says, “Everyone at PAH is so welcoming, and so eager to help each other learn! I love working in an environment where we are constantly perfecting our skill set, while learning new skills every day! I love all of the opportunities I have had so far with being able to learn about laser therapy, rehabilitation techniques, and also performing treatments for our hospitalized patients. I am so eager to continue to learn and grow as a technician at PAH.” In Ashley’s free time she likes to play on a woman’s recreational team for softball which she has done since she was eight years old! At home Ashley has a lab mix named Felix who loves to wear bow-ties and chase his tail! 

Gwyn Wyckoff


Gwyn joined our team in July of 2018 as a Technician Assistant. Gwyn joined our team because she could immediately tell how bonded our team was. Gwyn says, “Who wouldn't want to be a part of a wonderful team who always has your back.”  Gwyn has also volunteered at Little Dog Lifeboat for years grooming older disabled dogs! She loves being able to help dogs feel better by giving them their first haircut and assisting them in finding forever homes. In her spare time Gwyn likes to snuggle with her cat Pitty while watching documentaries and she also likes to go hiking. She says Pitty is a chatty cat who loves to talk and even tries to hold conversations. 

Jamie Matzek


Jamie joined our team in October 2019 as a Technician Assistant with a Veterinary Receptionist background.  Jamie grew up in Secaucus, New Jersey, right outside New York City, which Jamie loved visiting.  Jamie decided to join our team because of our incredible staff and the opportunity to be a part of something with a big impact on the community. Jamie is working to advance her skills to a Veterinary Technician and enjoys her time in modeling / acting school for personal development. At home Jamie takes care of her feisty, Yorkie mix named Eddy and her chatty African Grey named Smokey. In her free time Jamie likes to listen to comedy podcasts, catch up on her favorite shows, and visit her favorite cities, NY & Philly.
